Share a feed with someone
Open the feed from the Feeds tab to reach Manage Members, type an email address, pick Viewer, Contributor or Admin, and click Invite. Someone who already has an account joins right away and gets a notification. Anyone else is emailed a link, and waits under Pending Invites until they use it.
Sharing happens in one place: the Manage Members dialog on the feed itself. You put in an email address, pick what that person may do, and click Invite. What happens next depends on whether that address already belongs to a Vid Receipts account, and the app takes care of telling them either way.
Being invited to somebody else's feed costs nothing and needs no plan. Only the person who owns the feed needs one.
Share a feed with someone
-
Open your dashboard and pick Feeds. The screen is headed Feed Manager, with My Feeds ("Feeds you've created.") above Shared With Me ("Feeds others have shared with you.").
-
If you do not have the feed yet, click Create Feed. Give it a Feed Name, and turn Global Feed on so it appears on every video page. A feed made from this tab has no video attached to it, and only a global feed can exist without one. Click Create Feed.
-
Click the feed under My Feeds. It opens straight into Manage Members for that feed, subtitled "View and manage who has access to this feed and their permission levels."
-
Type the person's address into the Email address box across the top of the dialog.
-
Pick their role from the select beside it. It starts on Viewer.
-
Click Invite.
The three roles
The select offers exactly three, and they read this way in the dialog:
- Viewer can read the feed.
- Contributor can add receipts to it as well.
- Admin can manage the feed and its members. Only the feed's owner can hand out Admin.
You can change anyone's role later from the same dialog: the Members tab lists everyone, with a role select and a trash button on the rows your own role lets you change. The owner's row carries an Owner badge instead of a select, because ownership does not move.
What happens after you click Invite
If the address already has an account, they are in the feed immediately. You get a confirmation reading Member added, saying they already had an account so they are in the feed with the role you chose. On their side, a notification lands in their bell reading Added to a feed, naming you, the feed, and the role, and the feed appears under Shared With Me on their Feeds tab with that role on its badge. There is nothing for them to accept.
If the address has no account yet, they get an email with a link to join instead, and the invite sits on the Pending Invites tab of the same dialog until they use it. That tab lists the address, the role you picked, its status, and an X to cancel it. It shows the invites you sent; if another admin also invites people, their pending invites live on their own view of the tab.
The two tabs carry live counts, so the dialog reads Members (3) and Pending Invites (1) and you can tell at a glance which state somebody is in.
Inviting a group at once
Under the email box is a link reading Invite several at once (up to 20). Click it and the single-line box becomes a text area that takes a pasted block, one address per line or comma separated, and the button changes to Send invites. Everyone in the batch gets the same role. A per-address result appears underneath afterward, so you can see which ones were added straight away and which were emailed a link.
Click Invite one person to go back to the single box.
On a phone
The same dialog, the same fields, the same three roles. Tapping a feed card under My Feeds opens Manage Members directly, exactly as clicking does on a computer, and nothing in the dialog is labeled differently.
What's next
- Feed sharing and access covers discoverable feeds, asking for access, and sharing with a whole group.
- Manage feed permissions goes into what each role can actually do.
- Create a custom feed covers making one from a video page instead.

Create and organize feeds
Creating a feed takes a paid plan, but being in one does not. On any tier, a shared feed shows up under Shared With Me, opens from the plus button on a video's feed strip, and a link to it activates the feed when that feed fits the video you land on. Only the person who made it needs a plan.
Cross-post a receipt to another feed
Pick the extra feeds before you post, from the Posting to button in the compose tray. Each destination gets its own independent copy rather than a shared link. After posting, the receipt's menu offers Copy to and Move to, and a share link carries the feed the receipt lives in.
