Referral invitations

Referral invitations are available from October 12, 2026. This page describes how they work.
Opening an invitation
A friend can send you an invitation link. If you open it before you have an account, the page shows the offer: 30 extra days of Pro on top of the 14-day free trial for new accounts.
After you allow Preferences, the first valid invitation saved in this browser is the one that counts. Opening a second link here doesn't replace it. If you clear this site's data or use another browser, the next link you open counts instead. An invitation lasts 30 days, or until the offer ends if that comes first.
Remembering an invitation is optional. Choose Preferences in Cookie settings before we save it. Earlier privacy choices need a fresh answer under the updated policy, in every region. The saved reference is sent to Vid Receipts at signup to apply the offer; it isn't used for analytics.
If you decline, withdraw permission, or send Global Privacy Control, this tab stops saving or using the invitation and asks the browser to remove its reference. You can still use Vid Receipts and create an account. You can change your choice using the same Cookie settings button. While the invitation page shows the offer, allowing Preferences checks that invitation again, after any sign-in in progress finishes. A page that says the link doesn't work, the invitation has ended or invitations aren't available stays as it is, whatever you choose. Leaving the page without permission does not carry it into signup.
If your browser refuses changes to both local storage and cookies, it cannot remember a withdrawal after you reload and Global Privacy Control is off. Clear this site's data through your browser controls to remove the old choice and invitation.
If the browser blocks storage after you agree, we may keep the reference in this tab while permission stays current. It expires with the invitation and is normally removed after signup settles. If signup is temporarily unavailable, it can remain for a retry while both permission and the invitation stay valid.
Who can use an invitation
The invitation applies only when you create a new account. Signing in to an account you already have doesn't change anything.
You can't use your own invitation.
Entering a code in Settings
If you signed up without opening the link, you can enter the code in Settings, under Billing, within 30 days of creating your account. This works only if no invitation is already applied and you haven't started a paid plan yet. Once applied, it can't be changed.
Your 30 extra days
When an invitation applies to your new account, we add 30 days to the end of your free trial. The 30 days are counted from the day your trial was due to end, so applying a code later in your trial doesn't change when Pro ends.
If your trial has already ended when the invitation applies, you get Pro back for whatever is left of those 30 days. If that time has passed, your account didn't start with the free trial, or you've already started a paid plan, there's nothing to add, and you don't get money or credit instead.
Each email address can use an invitation's 30 extra days once, even if they couldn't be added. After account erasure starts, we keep a hashed-email referral marker for 400 days, then remove it. During that time, signing up again with the same address doesn't give you another referral offer. Removing this marker doesn't reset the separate free-trial record.
If the free trial is switched off for new accounts, the 30 extra days are switched off too.
What your friend sees
The page never shows who invited you, and your friend never sees your account.
Sending invitations
From October 12, 2026, you'll find your invitation in Settings, under Billing, and on your own profile.
To send one, you need a verified email. You can send invitations and earn referral rewards on a free account, even if you have never paid for a plan. Press Share invitation to create a link, then copy it or share it. Each link works until the offer ends. A friend who opens it has 30 days to sign up, or until the offer ends if that comes first.
Rewards progress counts friends who have counted, in groups of 3. A friend counts when their first paid invoice is 30 days old and hasn't been refunded or disputed. Progress never shows who counted, and it never goes down. If a payment that counted is refunded or disputed later, a reward can come at a different point in the count.
Each reward is one month of Pro. Your rewards list shows each one as pending, earned, granted or corrected. Rewards share the limits that apply to all rewards: 2 a month and 6 a year. A month earned in a year that already has six set aside isn't added. When this year's limit is reached, new invitations pause until January 1. An account can earn at most 12 referral rewards.
We tell you when a reward is earned, added or corrected, in the app and by email. You can turn either off in Settings, under Notifications. Turning them off doesn't change your rewards.

Referral terms
These terms apply from October 12, 2026.
- Your friend gets 30 extra days of Pro on top of the free trial for new accounts, subject to the email-address limit above, and never money or credit instead.
- You can send invitations and earn rewards with a verified email on a free account. You do not need to have paid for a plan.
- A friend counts when their first paid invoice is 30 days old, hasn't been refunded or disputed, and is a first payment of at least $9.99 for a monthly plan or $99.99 for a yearly plan on Individual Pro, Creator Pro or Creator Elite, billed in US dollars. Business Starter and payments in other currencies don't count. Some invitations set a date by which your friend's first payment has to happen.
- Every 3 friends who count earn 1 month of Pro. Rewards are limited to 2 a month and 6 a year across all rewards, and 12 referral rewards per account. A month earned in a year that already has six set aside isn't added.
- Any refund, including a partial refund, removes that payment from qualification. A refund or dispute after a friend counted can cancel a reward that hasn't reached you yet. One that has reached you is made up from the next month you earn instead. You're never charged for it.
- Rewards have no cash value, and you can't transfer them.
- Some payments are reviewed before they count, and payments that show several signs of misuse together don't count.
Rewards
When you start paying for a plan, your first paid invoice starts a 30-day hold. When the hold ends, we check that payment. It counts toward a reward for the friend who invited you if it hasn't been refunded or disputed, we can confirm it was paid from your account, and it's at least $9.99 for a monthly plan or $99.99 for a yearly plan on Individual Pro, Creator Pro or Creator Elite, billed in US dollars. Business Starter and payments in other currencies don't count. Some payments are reviewed before they count. A payment doesn't count if it came from your friend's own billing account, or if several signs of misuse show up together.
Sharing a home, a device or a network with your friend doesn't stop your payment counting on its own.
Every 3 payments that count can earn your friend 1 month of Pro. Your friend can earn this reward on a free account, even if they have never paid for a plan. Invitations can earn your friend at most 12 months in total, and these months share the limits that apply to all rewards. Payments count however long it takes to reach 3, and you don't need to do anything else.
Some invitations set a date by which your first payment has to happen. If you start paying after that date, your payment doesn't count toward your friend's reward.
If a payment that already counted is refunded or disputed later, it stops counting. If that leaves fewer than 3 payments behind a reward your friend earned, the reward is cancelled if it hasn't reached them yet or is Pro time that hasn't started. Otherwise it's taken off a future reward. Your friend is never charged for it.
If you delete your account before the hold ends, your payment doesn't count.
