The Business Portal
The Business Portal (at /business) is your team's management hub. Sign in and navigate there from the profile menu → Business Portal, or go directly to /business.
The Overview tab shows your current:
- Subscription tier: which Business plan your org is on
- Account: the email registered as billing owner
- System role: your role within the organization
Full team management (member invites, role assignments, persona policies, org channels) is being built for v1.1. Until it lands, the Team Management area says so rather than offering controls that would not work, and we handle changes for you: email info@vidreceipts.com.
Getting started
1. Create your organization
When you subscribe to a Business plan, you'll be asked to name your organization. This creates a shared workspace for your team.
- Your account becomes the billing owner: the person responsible for the subscription and payments.
- You're automatically the first member with the Owner role.
- Your organization gets a shared storage pool and unified billing.
2. Invite team members
Self-serve invites arrive with v1.1. For now, email info@vidreceipts.com with the addresses you want on the team and the role each should hold, Admin or Member, and we'll set them up. When the Team Management area opens, it'll be an email address, a role and an Invite button, and anyone who doesn't have an account yet will get their invitation when they sign up.
3. Manage seats
Your plan includes a set number of seats:
- Business Starter: Up to 25 seats
Each member occupies one seat.
Team roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Full control, billing, team management, all features. One per organization. |
| Admin | Manage team members, create and manage feeds, full access to all features. |
| Member | Create receipts, comment, vote, and use all standard features. Cannot manage team. |
Note: Team roles determine what someone can do within the organization. Within individual feeds, the standard feed-level roles (Owner, Admin, Contributor, Viewer) still apply independently.
Shared resources
When your team is on a Business plan, everyone shares:
- Storage: a shared pool across all team members
- AI moderation: unlimited for all team members
- Custom feeds: unlimited for the organization
Individual receipts are still owned by the person who created them, but team members can collaborate in shared feeds.
Billing
Business plans use per-seat pricing:
- You're charged for each active seat in your organization.
- When you add a member, the seat count increases and your next invoice adjusts.
- When you remove a member, the seat count decreases.
- The billing owner manages the subscription and receives all invoices.
To manage billing, the owner can go to Settings → Subscription → Manage Billing, which opens the Stripe Billing Portal.
Removing members
Removing members moves into Settings → Team Management with v1.1. Until then, an Owner or Admin can ask us at info@vidreceipts.com and we'll do it.
When a member is removed:
- Their account reverts to the Free tier.
- Their existing receipts and data are preserved.
- They lose access to the organization's shared feeds.
- The seat is freed for a new member.
FAQ
Can I transfer ownership? Not yet. Contact support if you need to change the billing owner.
What happens if the owner cancels the subscription? All team members revert to Free at the end of the billing period. Existing data is preserved.
Do we need more than 25 seats? White Label Business is coming soon (v5.0+) and supports custom team sizes, branding, and SSO. Contact sales to learn more.
Can team members have their own personal feeds? Yes! Team membership doesn't affect personal Public, Private, or Draft feeds. The Business plan only governs shared organization features.
