Editing a receipt

You can edit a published receipt up to 7 times within a 15-minute window. The clock starts at the moment the receipt is created, not when you first share or view it.

Within that window you can change:

  • The text body (any rich-text content)
  • The pinned timestamp (the exact moment it annotates on the video)
  • Attached media (images, embedded video, or documents)

After the 15-minute window closes, the receipt is locked. No further edits are possible. This keeps the record reliable for everyone who has voted on or commented on it.

To edit a receipt, click the edit icon on the receipt card, make your changes in the editor, and save.

Drafts are different. Receipts stored as drafts live locally in your working tray and have no edit-window restriction. The 15-minute clock only applies once a receipt is published to a feed.

Deleting a receipt

You can delete your own receipts at any time, there's no time limit on deletion.

Before you delete, consider whether one of these alternatives fits better:

  • Move to a private feed if you want to keep the receipt but remove it from public view.
  • Save as a draft if you want to revise it before republishing.

If you still want to delete, click the delete icon on the receipt card and confirm. Deletion is permanent: the receipt and all of its associated comments and votes are removed and cannot be recovered.

Feed Admins and Owners can delete any receipt posted in their feed, not just their own. See roles and permissions for details.

Moving a receipt between feeds

Moving is a separate operation from editing and has no time limit. You can move a receipt from one feed to another as long as you have access to both.

Common reasons to move a receipt:

  • Promote a draft into a public or custom feed when it's ready
  • Relocate a receipt from one custom feed to another
  • Move a public receipt to a private feed

The receipt keeps its content, pinned timestamp, and authorship after a move. Comments and votes stay with the original feed location and are not transferred.

To move a receipt, open the receipt card menu and choose Move.

Copying a receipt

Copying lets you place the same receipt in multiple feeds without removing the original. The copy is independent, changes to one do not affect the other, and comments and votes are not shared between them.

To copy a receipt, open the receipt card menu and choose Copy.
