Installing the extension
Add the Vid Receipts side panel to Chrome or Edge in under a minute.
Add it to your browser
The extension works the same way in Chrome and in Microsoft Edge, since both run the same underlying extension platform.
- Search for Vid Receipts in the Chrome Web Store, or in Microsoft Edge Add-ons if you use Edge.
- Click Add to Chrome (or Add to Edge).
- Confirm the permission prompt. The extension asks for access to
youtube.comandvidreceipts.comonly, nothing else. - Pin it to your toolbar so it's easy to open again: click the puzzle-piece icon in your browser's toolbar, then the pin next to Vid Receipts.
Opening the panel
Go to any youtube.com/watch page and click the Vid Receipts icon in your toolbar. The side panel opens next to the video and loads that video's public receipt feed right away, no sign-in required.
If you land on YouTube's homepage or a channel page instead of a video, the panel shows a short explanation instead of a feed. Open any video and it picks up automatically.
Which browsers are supported
Chrome and Edge on desktop. The extension is a companion for watching YouTube in a full browser tab, so it isn't built for mobile browsers.
Updates
Chrome and Edge update installed extensions automatically in the background. You don't need to do anything to stay current.
