Intimate Image Removal

Last Updated: June 11, 2026

If an intimate image or video of you appears on Vid Receipts and you did not consent to it being shared, you can ask us to remove it. You do not need a Vid Receipts account to make this request, and there is no fee. We act on valid requests within 48 hours.

1. What This Covers

This removal process covers nonconsensual intimate imagery (NCII)- any visual depiction of an identifiable person that is intimate or sexually explicit and was published without that person's consent. This includes:

  • Photographs or video of a real, identifiable person
  • AI-generated, digitally altered, or "deepfake" depictions of an identifiable person, synthetic imagery is treated the same as authentic imagery
  • Content that was originally shared consensually in private but published without consent

Publishing this material is prohibited by our Terms of Service and by federal law (the TAKE IT DOWN Act, Pub. L. 119-12).

2. How to Request Removal

Email safety@vidreceipts.com with the following. You may make a request on your own behalf or on behalf of another person you are authorized to represent (for example, your child or a person who has asked for your help):

  • Link(s) to the content on Vid Receipts (the page URL, or enough information for us to locate it)
  • A statement, made in good faith, that the imagery depicts you (or the person you represent) and was published without consent
  • Contact information (an email address is enough) so we can follow up and confirm the outcome

You do not need to explain how the content was created, prove your identity with documents, or have a Vid Receipts account. We will not retaliate against, penalize, or publicly identify anyone who makes a good-faith removal request.

3. What We Do

  • Remove the content within 48 hours of receiving a valid request
  • Remove known identical copies of the same imagery elsewhere on the Service, and take reasonable steps to prevent it from being re-uploaded
  • Confirm the outcome to the contact address you provide
  • If the imagery may depict a minor, escalate to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law

If we cannot validate a request (for example, the link doesn't resolve or the statement is missing), we will reply and tell you what is needed, the 48-hour clock runs from the time the request is complete.
