Editing and Deleting Receipts

Made a typo? Changed your mind? Vid Receipts gives you options to edit, delete, move, or copy your receipts — so you stay in control of your content.

Editing a Receipt

You can edit your receipts within 15 minutes of creating them. After that window closes, receipts become permanent. This keeps the record reliable for everyone who interacts with it.

To edit a receipt, click the edit icon on your receipt card. Make your changes in the editor and save.

Deleting a Receipt

You can delete your own receipts at any time — there's no time limit on deletion.

In addition, Admins and Owners of a feed can delete any receipt posted within that feed. This helps feed managers keep their communities on track.

To delete a receipt, click the delete icon on your receipt card and confirm the action.

What Happens When You Delete a Receipt

Deleted receipts are permanently removed. This includes all associated comments and votes — they cannot be recovered. Make sure you really want to remove a receipt before confirming.

Moving Receipts Between Feeds

You can move a receipt from one feed to another, as long as you have access to both feeds. This is useful when you want to:

• Move a draft to a public or custom feed when it's ready
• Relocate a receipt from one custom feed to another
• Move a public receipt to a private feed

The receipt keeps its content, timestamp, and authorship — but comments and votes stay with the original feed.

Copying Receipts

Want to share a receipt in multiple places? You can duplicate a receipt to another feed without removing the original. This creates an independent copy — changes to one won't affect the other.
