Connecting Your YouTube Account

Connecting your YouTube account unlocks additional features like browsing your subscriptions and accessing personalized video recommendations — all without leaving Vid Receipts.

How to Connect

1. Go to Settings.
2. Find the YouTube section.
3. Click "Connect YouTube Account".
4. You'll be redirected to Google to authorize Vid Receipts.
5. Grant the requested permission (read-only access to your YouTube data).
6. You'll be redirected back to Vid Receipts — your account is now connected!

What Connecting Gives You

• Browse your YouTube subscriptions directly within Vid Receipts
• See popular videos from channels you follow
• Enhanced video metadata for a richer annotation experience

Disconnecting Your YouTube Account

If you ever want to unlink your YouTube account:

1. Go to Settings → YouTube section.
2. Click "Disconnect YouTube Account".
3. Your Vid Receipts account and all your receipts remain completely unaffected.
4. You can reconnect at any time.

Privacy Note

• Vid Receipts only requests read-only access to your YouTube data.
• We never post to your YouTube account or modify your subscriptions.
• You can revoke access at any time through your Google Account settings.
